Financial Times Education Portal provides educational resources and tools, aggregates of FT.com content and exclusive materials to the academic community. Publishers of Financial Times newspaper requested Dizzain to redesign existing site and add new functionality to make the portal more interactive including FT Educational Blog, Twitter feeds, access to FT electronic edition, etc. Also we had to create a new subscription system for print and electronic edition of the newspaper.
As common in our website projects, Dizzain CMS lays at the core of the website and allows the staff to add new pages, modify existing content and switch section of the site on and off. Then a custom Wordpress theme was created to make FT Educational Blog look like the rest of the site. Twitter and FT.com feeds were added to site. Existing subscription system was redeveloped and new subscription forms put in place. Finally we had to develop a flash tutorial to guide new subscribers through the electronic edition of Financial Times.
We are continuing our work with Financial Times on additional features and enhancements to Education Portal.
